Lonely Picture

Yeah! It's a sad picture again. I'm trying to make this blog a happy place but these days I'm kind of gloomy. And the weather is awful. I like the rain but it has been raining for days.
However, I think there is some beauty even in the sad drawings.

This picture is inspirated by 2NE1's "Lonely". I feel like this song was written for me. 2NE1 is one of my favourite K-pop bands.

P.S. I don't know Korean, but I tried to write that part from the lyrics in Hangul. I hope that I copied it good.

Lana Del Rey

I rarely listen to new pop songs. By accident, I heard "Born To Die" and I was like, "Wow! What a great voice! And it seems rather unusual!". I told my sister for my "discovery" and she told me, "Which world do you live in?! Haven't you heard "Video Games"? Lana Del Rey is really famous." Then I listened to her album and I loved it.
I think she is an amazing artist. She has a great voice and her songs are very different, far from what we are used to. She stands out from the other pop singers at the moment.
I can't really describe the feeling that I get when I listen to her songs. I feel like I'm wearing a vintage dress; very feminine, confident and sophisticated. I'd like to put my red lipstick on and to drink a glass of Martini (with cherry) in the bar. Then a handsome man in "blue jeans", who is "sorta punk rock", will sit next to me. Of course, he'll "fit me better than my favorite sweater".

I'm not posting "Born To Die", because I have already posted it. So, I'll begin with "Blue Jeans".


I love this song very, very much. It tells a whole love story in kind of melancholic way. And the video is wonderful. I love that it is in black and white, so all the shades and lights are visible; and it gives, of course, a retro feeling. The whole concept of the video is great. The swimming with an alligator is a perfect metaphor for love. When someone is in love, it's easy to drown in his/her own feelings. And love can be dangerous, especially if your lover is a predator. I'm just kidding on the last one, but you get the point.

Another wonderful song! "This is what makes us girls" is a very girly song. It reminds me somehow of me and my friends, of my early teenage years. Some of the people who used to be my friend then, now I can't stand. And I parted ways with some of them for different reasons. However, this song brings back some memories.

The lyrics are great! Even the name of the song sounds very poetic ... "Summertime Sadness"

Although I like the video for "Video Games", I posted this version because Lana Del Rey sounds amazing live.

Another live performance and this time the song is "Million Dollar Man". I should mention that I really like Lana's style - hair, make up, clothes, everything. And by the way, I'll repeat myself saying that I love this song.

My last posts weren't very ... happy?! So, today I'm posting a more amusing and very girly picture. Hope you'll like it!

A Bit Gloomy Playlist

First, I should say that I like rock and sometimes pop music. Also, my music choices are a bit strange, because they are a mixture of very different artists. I guess, the various types of music represent the various sides of my personality. So, I hope you won't find my playlist too confusing.
These days, I have been listening to Lana Del Rey, Bullet For My Valentine and Papa Roach.

The first Lana Del Rey's song that I heard was "Born to Die". No need for other words!

 I like Papa Roach and I usually listen to their more romantic songs such as "Forever", "The Fire", "Carry Me", etc. But I love this song. It's so powerful. When you're angry at somebody, it feels good to scream "Burn!" and all the negative energy is gone.

Although the sound isn't very soft, this is one of the most romantic songs ... at least for me. It's also kind of sad.

New Drawings

These two pictures describe my mood at the moment. It's something between disappointment, sadness and I don't really care kind of attitude. 

I often listen to music, when I need inspiration. And because of that I insert lyrics almost every time. These lines are from "9th Circle" by H.I.M. This band is one of my favorite.

I guess, you don't need much explanation for this one. Believe it or not, I heard that line from LMFAO song - "Sorry For Party Rocking". I like LMFAO, because they are so funny, but I'm not a big fan.

So, it's my first post! I'm very excited!

I drew this picture, inspired by Natalia Kills` "Wonderland". I'm not a very big fan of her, but I like some of her songs and "Wonderland" is one of them. The lyrics are wonderful!
